The GDO-2 SecuraLift was one of the first easy to setup and install, durable and secure openers to be released under the ATA name.  This particular opener carved the way for development into more advanced technology such as the ISS (Intelligent Safety System), automatic limiting systems and tri-code technology.  For being one of the first openers it could still be considered as a positive addition to any home.

The GOD-7 SecuraLift II was a large developmental leap from the classic GDO-2 SecuraLift range.  This opener had more lifting potential, less vibration, full use of torque and a two point spread system that would produce less wearing on the opener and its parts, on top of that the overall design of the opener sleeker and more refined so that it was easy to tell the difference between the two.
