Sectional Panel Door Drums and Cable
Listed below are parts usually fixed to the torsion pole. Due to the nature of these parts (they are constantly under extreme spring tension), it is recommended that any DIY work be approached with extreme caution, and the right tools.
RHS Cable Drum
Suitable for use on most panel doors under the height of 2.4m.
LHS Cable Drum
Suitable for use on most panel doors under the height of 2.4m.
Panel Door Pulley Cable
Suitable for use on most panel doors.
Please note that the cable is charged at $17.50 per meter.
We can cut the cable for you and ship it out. It is usually recommended that both cables are replaced at the same time, however, if you choose to replace one, we will usually require the length of the unbroken cable, which will be under high tension, and we strongly advise to not go this route. The alternative method to replacing a single cable is to cut the new cable at an approximate length (on a standard 2.4h panel door, roughly 2600mm long) and make the relative changes to the respective drum wheel, however, this should only ever be attempted by someone with the appropriate knowledge and tools.
