Tilt Door Components

Below are commonly replaced parts on tilt door jamb and track type fittings. Due to the amount of tension on the springs, and therefore the fittings as an assembly, it is highly recommended that a qualified specialist, or someone with extensive knowledge on tilt door fittings, perform any repairs. Attempting to fix it without the required expertise can result in serious injury.

Jamb Type Fittings

Jamb type fittings consist of a power arm secured to a jamb, there are no tracks on either side. When fully open, approximately half the door protrudes out of the opening. Maximum weight capacity for jamb type fittings is lower in comparison to track type fittings.

SHOULDER BOLT

Suitable for use on all jamb type fittings.

EQUALIZER PLATE

Suitable for use on 150J jamb type fittings.

DOUBLE EQUALIZER PLATE

Suitable for use on 200J jamb type fittings.

JAMB TYPE SPRING

Suitable for use on 150J & 200J type fittings.

Track Type Fittings

Track type fittings are different to jamb type fittings in the sense that they have, well, tracks. If you look to the top corners of your garage door, you will be able to see tracks that give the door a much smoother operation, well suited for automation. When fully open the entire door sits inside the garage. Track type fittings have a greater weight capacity in comparison to jamb type fittings.
