Identify the model before choosing parts or remotes

Older ATA sectional garage door openers such as the GDO-2 SecuraLift and GDO-7 SecuraLift II can still be found in Melbourne homes. Age alone does not identify the correct manual, remote or replacement component because model revisions and receiver configurations can differ.

Before requesting support, record the full model and version from the opener label and send clear photographs of:

  • the complete opener and rail;
  • the manufacturer label and model number;
  • the wall control and existing remotes;
  • the door in the closed position; and
  • any damaged or disconnected components.

Do not remove covers, adjust force settings or work on springs and door hardware unless you are qualified to do so.
