Smart Features for Everyday Garage Access

The GDO-6 v2 can be operated using a keyring transmitter, EasyAccess transmitter or optional wall switch. The door can be stopped during opening or closing, with the next activation sending it in the opposite direction.

Correct Installation and Safety Setup Are Essential

Before installation, the garage door must be well balanced, move smoothly and operate without sticking or binding. The manual specifies a minimum 40 mm side clearance, with 95 mm recommended for easier access during installation.

Important safety requirements include keeping the doorway clear during operation, inspecting springs, cables and mountings for damage or imbalance, and leaving repairs involving highly tensioned door hardware to experienced personnel.

The opener automatically calculates its Safety Obstruction Force during setup. The manual’s closing-cycle test uses an approximately 50 mm-high piece of timber beneath the door; the door should contact it and reopen. If the test fails, automatic operation should be discontinued and service arranged.

Programming, Auto-Close and Troubleshooting

The GDO-6 v2 allows transmitters to be programmed for normal door operation, courtesy lighting, Pet Mode and Vacation Mode. Individual remotes can be added or deleted, and the opener can store up to 24 transmitters.

Auto-Close Mode requires a Photo Electric Beam. The manual recommends positioning the beam approximately 150 mm above the floor and keeping the doorway clear whenever Auto-Close is operating.
